The top 5 skateboarders from the regional qualifiers will be eligable to compete at The DC Nationals finals on August 22nd & 23rd in Vancouver.BC.
Each heat will feature two separate styles of runs.
The Intro run
- Riders skate solo for there first run; judges use this run to get to know individuals and are able to recognize the riders in the jam session. This run will count towards there final score.
- Riders are judged on the 5-point system. Both runs combined score.

The jam session
- Jam style format. Each heat will have a jam run, the second run for riders
- This is a more relaxed environment for each rider and gives them more time to land tricks
- Judges are now aware of who is who and riders are judged on a 5-point scale
The top 3 from each heat will advance to the finals for the day. These finals will be a solo run to determin the top 5 who will advance to the series final in Vancouver, August 22nd & 23rd.
There will be a minimum of three judges, judging on 5 specific areas on a 5 point system.
- Technical skills - 5 points - advanced tricks (flipping the board, grinds, slides,manuals, combining flip tricks with grinds, slides,manuals)
- Degree of difficulty - 5 points - hard, fast, scary (big rails, gaps, stairs)
- Use of Coarse/Diversity - 5 points - use of the whole course (different obstacles, different lines, creativity, originality)
- Consistency of Tricks - 5 points - consistant runs (landing clean, smooth lines, effortless style)
